The Internet has come into its own this year, with hundreds, maybe thousands of web sites dedicated to all points of view. Here are some of our favorites. C-SPAN1 (Marin cable channel 15, DirecTV 350, Dish 210) covers sessions of the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate and other public policy discussions.

C-SPAN2 (Marin cable channel 23, DirecTV 351, Dish 212) covers committee hearings, and reviews current books on government, history and politics. Can be viewed live online or archived.
CalChannel covers California State Senate and Assembly floor sessions, gubernatorial press conferences and senate and assembly committee meetings.  Broadcast on Marin cable channel 78, and also streamed on the Web. Click here for programming info.
Air America Radio provides a liberal alternative to right wing radio, with programs like Morning Sedition, Unfiltered, the O'Franken Factor, the Majority Report, Randi Rhodes and more. Streamed on the Web, and soon to be broadcast in San Francisco/San Jose - KVVN 1430 AM and San Francisco/Berkeley - KVTO 1400 AM. Live and archived. Check for a station near you.
