    Local Democratic Clubs

The Democratic Central Committee of Marin charters a number of clubs to discuss local issues and organize Democrats around specific issues. These clubs include:

NOVATO DEMOCRATIC CLUB—The Novato Democratic Club meets the first Saturday of the month, 9:30-11:30 a.m.   If you live in Novato or simply care about its issues, or if you would like to participate in voter registration and campaigns to elect more Democrats into office, please check out our web site:  www.Novatodemocrats.org and come to our meetings.  Be sure to read and subscribe to Awareness Novato, the newsletter for progressives in Novato and throughout the county.  RSVP for location of the meeting by calling Suzanne at (415) 309-6170.

PROGRESSIVE DEMOCRATS OF MARIN---a local chapter of the national Progressive Democrats of America (PDA) (www.pdamerica.org) meets on the first Tuesday of each month 7-9pm with Democracy for America-Marin in the Community Room, Corte Madera Town Center Mall. PD-Marin works both inside the Democratic Party and in collaboration with other progressive organizations in the County for sustainable environmental policies, non-violent conflict resolution, clean elections, single-payer healthcare, and social and economic justice. THE 6TH ASSEMBLY DEMOCRATICS --- A newly formed organization open to all Democrats living in the 6th Assembly District (Marin and Southern Sonoma counties) and membership fee is $10 for two years. The Club’s purpose is to organize precinct operations and build community efforts through outreach activities. LATINO DEMOCRATIC CLUB OF MARIN—The Latino Democratic Club of Marin discusses issues of concern to Latinos in Marin, and welcomes all Democrats to participate in their weekend breakfast meetings. Call Ed Sotelo at (415) 388-5107 for more details.

MARIN CITY DEMOCRATS CLUB—Newly formed, the Marin City Democratic Club registers voters in Marin City and also discusses issues of importance to Marin City residents. Call Robert Fisher at (415) 332-0779 for details.

DEMOCRACY FOR AMERICA, MARIN CHAPTER--DFA-Marin meets on the first Tuesday of every month to present interesting, timely, issue-oriented speakers and to discuss local and national issues. Members meet at the Town Center Community Room in the Corte Madera Town Center Mall. Enter near Good Guys and take the elevator or stairs to the second floor meeting room. MARIN COUNTY YOUNG DEMOCRATS--A group of 14-35 year old students, activists and young professionals who seek to promote and advance the ideals of the Democratic Party while providing access to the political process and opportunities to make a difference through civic participation and community awareness.
