Resolution to Impeach GW Bush Passed by Voice Vote at DCCM on February 2nd
 WHEREAS the Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution protects all United States citizens from illegal warrantless searches, and in conformity with the commands of the Fourth Amendment, Congress enacted the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) which requires the President of the United States to obtain a warrant from a court in order to conduct the domestic wiretapping of an American citizen;

WHEREAS President Bush has publicly stated that on at least 30 separate and distinct occasions, he has ordered the domestic wiretapping of hundreds of United States citizens without ever obtaining a warrant from a court, thereby committing 30 separate and distinct federal felonies, all of them high crimes warranting impeachment;

WHEREAS President Bush has further publicly stated that he intends to continue violating this federal law without fear of prosecution or punishment, thereby challenging the rule of law, provoking a constitutional crisis with Congress, and necessitating impeachment and removal from office;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Democratic Central Committee of Marin calls upon the Honorable Members of the United States House of Representatives to impeach President George W. Bush.

Facts & Myths about Joining the Military, March 2nd, San Rafael High School
This forum, produced by Veterans for Peace, Marin County H.O.P.E., and the Marin Peace & Justice Coalition, among others will feature three courageous young war veterans — conscientious objectors Aidan Delgado and Aimee Allison and war resister Pablo Paredes — who will share their experiences of being recruited and serving in the military. They will talk about their reasons for enlisting and the evolution of their dissent, as well as one vet’s experiences in Abu Ghraib. We’ll hear from David Crawford, a Tamalpais High School student who organized a successful counter-recruitment campaign on his campus. And we’ll discuss alternatives to the military. The target audiences are youth of draft age and their parents, P.T.A. members, elected officials, communities of color, and community activists.
Please help promote this event by spreading the word to your group members and contacts, schools and students, parents, PTAs, and career counselling offices. And please consider joining with us. Youth, especially minority youth, in Marin are being sought after by recruiters. We want to set the record straight, help people explore options, and reach out to at-risk youth.

Benefit for Take Back Red California
