A great potluck and good conversation
The Democratic Central Committee held a Reception in May at Supervisor Hal Brown's home honoring Marin County's elected Democratic officials. Guests enjoyed lively discussions as well as meeting with local and state office holders.

Volunteers Manned DCCM Booth at the Marin County Fair

Lynn Bornstein and the array of printed materials available to fair goers
Volunteers who set up and manned the DCCM Booth at the recent Marin County Fair got an earful from fair-goers who are fed up with the Bush administration. Many people stopped by to register their displeasure with the state of the nation. And there were also a lot of people registering to vote, some for the first time. A straw poll set up to test the preferences of Marin Democrats about who should get the nomination for president in 2008 turned up a three-way tie with Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, and Barack Obama.

other progressive groups brought over 100,000 Americans together to
watch all the Democratic candidates present their plans to solve global
warming and then vote for the best. John Edwards won in a landslide,
getting twice the votes of his nearest competitor. Interested in John
